Hakuei's parents divorced before Hakuei even was born. his mother gave birth to him all on her own. Social workers wanted to take Hakuei away from her when he was just a few weeks old. she could find a crappy job so she could take care of her baby and herself. because of the child-support Hakuei's father paid them, she could send Hakuei to School.
Hakuei always loved his mother and when he was old enough to work he'd give his earnings to his mother. when he became older he was offered a modeling job, he took the chance and with the money he made he both could go to university and take care of his mother. he got a degree as an teacher for elimentary school but he decided to continue with his modeling career. but after a couple of years he started to use drugs. from pot to Methamphetamine. now, at the age of 37 he's a fulltime cocaine user for several years already. Which made him develop tourettes syndrome, he randomly curses and cusses, without actually meaning to.
he was busted by the police while buying some coke on the streets of Tokyo. he got sentenced to bakuzen byouin by court.
Hakuei stayed in Bakuzen for over several weeks before deciding to escape. With old observation camera's this was fairly easy. He had intended to escape from day one, though he failed twice before he decided to get help from outside bakuzen's walls. He faked his death and then made a run for it at night. He stopped modeling instantly, not wanting to be recognized. For months he had to hide and lie, in order not to be recognized as a fugitive.
He left his money behind at his mother and tried to get a new identity. But he always had to watch his back. It didn't take long for the police to recognize him in a drugs-related fight, and he was sent right back to Bakuzen, claimed by court that he was insane and a possible danger.
